Vallée du Dadès > Merzouga

After breakfast, you go from the 1001 Kasbahs to Tinghir, a beautiful oasis where you can go on an hour-long walk by the river to the Todgha Gorges. Here you will have free time to enjoy the scenery before lunch. In the early afternoon, the ride will take you to Merzouga where your camel caravan will be waiting for you. From there, ride a camel through the dunes of Erg Chebbi, while enjoying a bewitching sunset. Just before nightfall, join your Sahara desert camp nestled between the sand dunes where you can enjoy a Moroccan dinner under the stars, while being entertained by local nomads playing drums around the fire of camp.

Merzouga > Fès

If desired, your hosts at the desert camp will wake you up to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, you will follow the Ziz river with its incredible palm-lined oasis and fortified ksours (castles) to Midelt, a small town in the middle of the Atlas Mountains, where you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, continue crossing the mountains of the Middle Atlas to Fez. You will notice a dramatic change in the landscape: snow-capped mountains, cedar forests and rich vegetation, 180 degrees from the arid and rocky landscapes of the rest of the circuit. Your tour of the desert from Marrakech to Fez will end in the early evening and your driver will drive you to your riad or hotel in Fez.
