Explore southern Morocco on a 4 day tours to the two most famous deserts of the Greater Sahara, Zagora and Merzouga, from Marrakech. Take advantage of the multitude of landscapes of the Atlas mountains and the color contrasts of the oasis valleys and immortalize your experience of unique moments on your cameras.
Marrakech > Ait Ben Haddou > vallée du Deraa > Zagora
From your Riad or hotel in Marrakech, take the direction of Ait Ben Haddou via the highest pass in North Africa, Tiz In Tichka pass at 2260 m. Then go visit the kasbah which is a famous place for the shooting of world famous films in Morocco. Have lunch on the spot then continue to the Agdez oasis and admire the amazing views offered by the Deraa river before reaching Zagora (also called Desert Gate). On arrival, you will change your vehicle for camels to cross the first dunes of the desert while admiring a magnificent and unique sunset. Once at your bivouac with its Berber tents, enjoy a traditional dinner around a campfire then spend a pleasant night under the stars.
Zagora > Erfoud > Tazzarine > Al Nif > Merzouga
Early in the morning, you will be on the back of your dromedary and admire the beautiful sunrise over the Zagora desert. After breakfast, drive to Merzouga passing through the village of Tazzarine. You take a break at the Alnif oasis for lunch, then continue your journey via the town of Rissani to reach Merzouga. On arrival, you will be part of a camel caravan for a desert tour to the dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will watch the sunset as you wish. Dinner with Berber entertainment and overnight at the Bivouac under the stars.
Tinghir > Ouarzazate > Marrakech
After breakfast, direction Ouarzazate via the route of a thousand Kasbahs and through the Dades valley. You will then visit the Kasbah Taourirte (Glaoui Kasbah) and the cinematography studio. Lunch on site in a local restaurant then return to Marrakech through the Atlas mountain range.
